Transportation (Roadway Design) Engineering Senior Project ManagerThis is an exciting opportunity to support and shape our roadway design services group in Maryland. The individual will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to various SHA, MDTA, and municipal roadway design projects. The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing management capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Daily responsibilities may include project design, task management, client contact, and quality control.
- Task management and development of roadway construction documents, specifically roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, cross section modeling, maintenance of traffic plans, specifications, cost estimating and planning
- Preparing reports and studies
- Preparing for, attending, and participating in public meetings
- Directing others in performing designs for various roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, SHA and local municipality requirements; reviewing and managing designs prepared by others
- Participating in project/contract scoping, fee development, contract negotiations, and execution
- Participate in business development for the preparation of expressions of interest and technical proposals for future work
- Coordinating with contractors, utility companies and government agencies
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- 14+ years of experience in roadway design - preferably in Maryland; Additional experience in other ATCS markets is a plus
- Professional Engineer's license in MD
- MicroStation ORD and ProjectWise experience
- Familiarity with MDOT and regional design standards, practices and policies

Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of
$140,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 7.5% of the employee's annualized salary.
