What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Vancouver Royal Centre is looking for an analytical, technical and resourceful team player to join our top discretionary team as a Trading Specialist who will provide exceptional trading and technical support to a Senior Portfolio Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role or experience in some trading capacity with a wealth management firm in Canada.

This role will be working 80% of their day with the Senior Portfolio Manager and the successful candidate at the minimum have ADVANCED Excel skills. As an invaluable internal partner, you will play a key role in working with a Portfolio Manager in managing client portfolios, analysis and trading.

What will you do?
  • Update and maintain Trading and Reporting spreadsheets.
  • Bulk trading and allocation.
  • Tax reporting and analysis.
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery.
  • Research.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Extensive Market knowledge.
  • ADVANCED or higher Excel skills and strong skills and knowledge with business applications and technology.
  • Active Registered Representative (RR) license.
  • Show initiative, independent, a team player, and be proactive.
  • High quality time management and organization skills.
  • Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000 - 150,000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.0x base salary.
