Job Summary
The Senior Test Lead will lead testing activities for Plex or other large-scale Manufacturing Execution System (MES) rollout initiatives. The role requires 8+ years of overall experience and is responsible for developing and managing the testing strategy, coordinating end-to-end testing across business and IT teams, managing defects, leading UAT, validating data conversions and integrations, and providing testing readiness assessments through go-live and hypercare. This position is onsite and based in San Diego, California.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and manage the overall testing strategy, including testing approach, schedule, scope, resources, and milestones.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test scenarios and scripts covering end-to-end business processes.
• Coordinate SIT, E2E, regression, and UAT testing activities across business and IT teams.
• Lead defect triage, track issue resolution, escalate risks, and drive defects through closure.
• Lead UAT preparation, execution, training support, and business signoff activities.
• Validate converted data and test integrations between Plex, LN, Windchill, and other connected systems.
• Provide testing metrics, defect trends, risks, readiness assessments, and executive status updates.
• Assess overall testing completion and provide go/no-go recommendations for production readiness.
• Support cutover testing, production validation, issue management, and post-go-live stabilization.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of overall professional experience.
• Experience as a Senior Test Lead supporting Plex or another large-scale MES rollout project.
• Strong experience developing and managing enterprise testing strategies and plans.
• Experience coordinating SIT, end-to-end, regression, and UAT testing activities.
• Strong experience developing end-to-end test scenarios and test scripts.
• Experience with defect management, defect triage, issue resolution tracking, risk escalation, and closure.
• Experience leading UAT preparation, execution, training support, and signoff activities.
• Experience validating data conversion and integrations across enterprise systems.
• Strong testing leadership, communication, status reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience assessing go-live readiness and supporting cutover and hypercare activities.
