Job Overview:The Senior Technical Services Manager for Primoris Energy Services - Nexus will lead and manage the technical services team, ensuring the successful delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects. This role involves overseeing project lifecycle technical aspects, from conceptual design to commissioning, and providing expert technical guidance to project teams and clients.
Responsibilities:**
* Lead and manage the Nexus technical services team, including hiring, training, performance management, and career development.
* Oversee and direct all technical aspects of energy infrastructure projects, including design, engineering, procurement support, construction support, and commissioning.
* Develop and implement technical standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure project quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
* Provide expert technical guidance and support to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct technical reviews of project designs, specifications, and documentation to identify and mitigate risks.
* Collaborate with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met and technical issues are resolved effectively.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes relevant to energy infrastructure.
* Contribute to business development activities by providing technical expertise for proposals and presentations.
* Manage budgets and resources for the technical services department, optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence within the team.
Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) required; Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technical services, engineering, or project management within the energy infrastructure sector (oil & gas, power generation, renewables).
* Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing technical team.
* Strong understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, NEC, OSHA).
* Demonstrated expertise in project lifecycle management, from conceptual design through commissioning.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization and external stakeholders.
* Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
* Ability to travel to project sites as required.
