Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to support our continual growth by attracting, evaluating and referring candidates, and who has the ability to relate candidate experience to the requirements of our technical positions.
- The selected individual will promote our brand and work directly with Senior Management and the service line Hiring Managers to understand their needs. This position requires excellent communication and negotiation skills. Technical Recruiting experience required in Government Contracting and Aerospace and Defense.
- Proactively build a network of active and passive candidates, conduct initial phone screens, and face to face candidate interviews, work with candidates throughout the hiring process including presenting offers.
- Identify appropriate candidates and assess their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
- Work closely with senior management and Hiring Managers to fulfill technical talent requirements in a timely manner.
- Coordinate candidate interviews with Hiring Managers and maintaining contact with the talent pipeline.
- Facilitate contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the relevant technical areas of the Defense industry community and marketplace.
- Attend job fairs and industry conferences; runs company booth at job fairs.
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of project needs.
- Document and track activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Assist with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:- 7+ years of related Technical Recruiting experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Prior experience supporting one of the following technical disciplines is desired: Research & Development (R&D), Science & Technology (S&T), Test and Engineering (T&E), and Electronic Warfare (EW) applications.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team onsite at our Corporate headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. This position requires a majority of the work to be performed onsite in an office to conduct in person interviews with candidates, but some flexibility is available to work remote on occasion.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Experience/Knowledge of applicant tracking systems helpful.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- *DoD Secret Clearance is desired.
EDUCATION:- Bachelor's degree or specialized training, preferably in a technical field is a plus. Experience in lieu of an academic degree is acceptable.
