Full Job Description
The Role

Pano AI is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex cross-functional programs across our engineering, product, and operations teams. As a Senior TPM, you will be the connective tissue between our squads-ensuring that ambitious technical initiatives ship on time, risks are surfaced early, and every team has what they need to move fast. You will work across our Software, Embedded, and Hardware teams to drive programs from discovery through delivery, and play a key role in maturing our program management practices as we scale.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the heart of Pano's engineering organization. You will partner directly with engineering leads, product managers, and design-and have a direct line to senior leadership on program status and risk. If you are energized by bringing order to complexity, thrive in fast-moving startup environments, and care deeply about building technology that saves lives, we'd love to meet you.

What you'll do
  • Own end-to-end program management for complex, multi-team technical initiatives-from scoping and planning through execution, launch, and retrospective
  • Partner with engineering leads, product managers, and designers to define program milestones, map dependencies, and keep stakeholders aligned on progress, risks, and decisions
  • Drive sprint planning, quarterly roadmap planning, and OKR processes, ensuring teams have clear priorities, realistic timelines, and well-defined success criteria
  • Build and maintain program dashboards, status reports, and roadmap views that provide leadership and cross-functional partners with real-time visibility into delivery health
  • Identify and resolve blockers proactively-driving escalations, facilitating decisions, and removing friction across teams before they become schedule threats
  • Lead cross-functional working groups and recurring program syncs, ensuring the right people are engaged and every meeting drives toward a clear, documented outcome
  • Support the engineering organization in building scalable processes, tooling, and ceremonies as we grow from 150 to 300+ people
  • Collaborate with external partners-including fire agencies, government entities, and utility companies-to coordinate program dependencies and joint deliverables
  • Champion engineering team health: track capacity, flag burnout risks, and advocate for sustainable pacing without sacrificing velocity

What you'll bring
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or a closely related field at a fast-paced technology company or startup
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional technical programs with multiple concurrent workstreams, competing priorities, and diverse stakeholders
  • Strong technical fluency-comfortable engaging with engineering teams on system architecture, APIs, platform integrations, and sprint-level planning
  • Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies; hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Linear, or equivalent project management platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical topics for executive and non-technical audiences, and to write crisp status reports and decision documents
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving instincts; proven ability to navigate ambiguity, structure unclear problems, and drive decisions with incomplete information
  • High emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills-you build trust quickly across engineering, product, design, and business teams
  • Experience in a hardware/software or IoT company is a strong plus; familiarity with camera platforms, geospatial data, or real-time data pipelines is a bonus
  • Prior experience working with government agencies, utilities, or public safety partners is an advantage
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered

Final compensation for regular full-time employees is determined by a variety of factors, including job-related qualifications, education, experience, skills, knowledge, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, regular full-time roles are eligible for equity. Benefits are tailored to local market standards and statutory requirements in the employee's country of employment, and may include health coverage, retirement or pension contributions, and paid time off. Specific benefit details will be shared during the interview process.
