Overview

Help shape how enterprises securely prepare for and adopt AI at scale. As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) within Microsoft Security, you will lead strategic initiatives that help customers assess, strengthen, and operationalize their readiness for AI-powered solutions.

You will play a key role in the Getting Customers Ready for AI initiative, partnering across Microsoft Security, Microsoft 365, Engineering, Product Management, Design, Research, Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, and Support. In this role, you will help define and scale customer readiness strategies across critical domains including identity, devices, data, applications, infrastructure, governance, and security posture.

This opportunity will allow you to drive large-scale AI transformation initiatives, influence product and business strategy, and collaborate with senior leaders across Microsoft while helping customers realize the value of secure AI adoption.

This role offers flexible work opportunities, allowing you to partner with your manager to determine the work arrangement that best supports business needs and team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of strategic workstreams supporting the Getting Customers Ready for AI initiative across Microsoft Security.
  • Define and scale customer readiness frameworks, success metrics, operational processes, and adoption strategies that help organizations confidently prepare for AI.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, design, research, customer experience, marketing, and field organizations to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Lead complex technical programs spanning AI systems, security, identity, devices, governance, cloud services, and platform capabilities to ensure cohesive end-to-end customer experiences.
  • Translate customer feedback, adoption patterns, and implementation challenges into actionable recommendations that inform product strategy, readiness programs, and deployment guidance.
  • Establish and continuously improve operating rhythms, executive communications, KPI reporting, risk management practices, and governance mechanisms that enhance organizational effectiveness and execution.
  • Define and track telemetry, operational insights, and success measures to evaluate customer readiness, adoption, and business impact.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.


Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs across multiple engineering and product teams, including managing dependencies and driving execution in high-matrixed, ambiguous environments.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience delivering customer-facing enterprise, cloud, security, or large-scale distributed systems, with an understanding of platform-level architecture and operations.
  • Ability to translate technical and operational signals into clear executive insights, including defining frameworks, governance models, and scalable processes.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI/NPF in core workflows, including synthesizing data at scale, generating structured artifacts, and improving execution through reusable AI-assisted approaches (e.g., prompts, templates, playbooks).
  • Experience leading in AI adoption and/or security domains, including scaling best practices, coaching others, and driving initiatives across organizational boundaries.


Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $114,400.00 - CAD $203,900.00 per year.
