ABOUT THE ROLEThe Lattice Simulation group builds the infrastructure and products that power autonomy development, scaled test and evaluation, operations analysis, and wargaming across Anduril. The group spans multiple engineering teams, and our biggest wins come from the work that runs across them.
We are hiring a Technical Program Manager to own that cross-team work. You will drive our most important programs from definition through delivery, and set the standard for how the whole org plans, tracks, and ships. This is a high-leverage seat with direct exposure to org leadership. The programs you run are the ones that move the mission forward, and you will have the mandate to shape how a fast-growing organization operates.
You will work shoulder to shoulder with strong engineering leaders who bring deep technical and customer context. Your job is to turn that into clear plans, real accountability, and predictable delivery. You should be comfortable digging into system dependencies and technical risk, and confident holding senior people to a plan. You should be good at execution and steady in ambiguity.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Grow the impact of our simulation teams. The capabilities we build help the whole company move faster and ship higher-quality solutions.
- Own the most important cross-team engineering efforts from definition through test and delivery.
- Get teams to turn their roadmaps into trackable near-term plans, and roll those plans up across the group so leadership has a clear view of what ships when.
- Run the group's operating cadence, including the operating rhythm, all-hands, and the initiatives that span the whole group.
- Give leadership and partner teams a clear read on delivery status, surfacing blockers early and escalating tradeoffs when a decision is needed.
- Define how the group plans, tracks, and ships work, and drive the process changes that make cross-team delivery predictable.
- Clear blockers for the platform engineers who own our simulation capabilities, and hold senior engineers and managers accountable on technical grounds.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum of five years as a TPM in a fast-paced software development environment
- Hands-on software or engineering background, enough to read architecture and design docs, map cross-service dependencies, and challenge senior engineers on technical tradeoffs and estimates rather than relay them
- Strong project management experience for software development, with practical command of multiple methodologies and judgment about when to apply each
- Track record owning cross-functional engineering efforts and getting senior engineers and managers to reprioritize on technical grounds
- Experience standing up delivery and tracking processes in an org with little existing structure
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an engineering discipline, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience
- Background in modeling and simulation, or shipping software products and infrastructure at a software company
- Experience with faster-than-real-time simulation, software-in-the-loop, or hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Understanding of autonomous systems and their use in defense contexts
- Product facilitation strength: getting teams to produce clear, consistent roadmaps and requirements
- Experience running org-level operations (operating cadence, all-hands, cross-team initiatives)
US Salary Range
$166,000-$220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
