About the RoleKnotch is at an inflection point. We're running three parallel tracks: our core analytics platform serving enterprise clients, a next generation AI-powered product in active pilots, and a next-generation cloud-native architecture that unifies them. These aren't sequential phases - they're live, simultaneous, and all moving fast.
As a
Senior Technical Program Manager, you'll own the execution layer across all three tracks - so engineering leadership can stay focused on architecture and strategy. This isn't a traditional delivery management role. The scope spans day-to-day sprint operations, contractor workstream coordination, platform stability, and a major cloud-native migration program running in parallel.
You'll sit at the center of the engineering org - the connective tissue between architecture decisions and squad-level execution. You'll push back on unrealistic timelines, keep dependencies visible before they become blockers, and own the K1 transition as a formal program. If you want to build structure and watch it directly accelerate a company at a pivotal moment - this is that role. If you've made it this far, please kindly input this code with your application: PROG-MGR-2026.
Responsibilities- Own release planning and sprint coordination across internal engineering squads and external contractor teams.
- Track cross-team dependencies across a shared engineering pool model - one missed handshake can stall multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Own the current KnotchOne platform delivery program - weekly release cadence, maintenance-mode sequencing, and CS-facing incident coordination.
- Manage and Track product and architectural milestones as a formal program: what gets supported, what gets ported, what gets rebuilt, and in what order.
- Bridge the gap between architecture decisions made at the SVP level and what engineering squads are building day-to-day.
- Push back on estimates with technical fluency - not rubber-stamping timelines that don't hold up.
- Manage contractor coordination channels and workstream intake so external teams stay unblocked without escalating upward.
QualificationsYou have 6-10+ years in technical program or delivery management, with meaningful hands-on experience owning multi-track engineering programs in production B2B SaaS or data/AI product environments.
Must Haves- Proven ownership of complex, multi-track product/engineering programs spanning internal teams and external contractors simultaneously.
- Technical fluency - you can follow architecture conversations, challenge timeline estimates, and understand trade-offs without writing the code yourself.
- Experience managing platform migrations or maintenance-mode transition programs in live production environments.
- Strong async communicator: crisp executive-level status updates and detailed dependency maps on the same day
- Comfortable landing fast in ambiguity - this role exists to build structure, not inherit it.
Nice to Haves (not mandatory)- Multi-cloud environment experience (AWS, GCP, Azure), especially live platform migrations.
- Familiarity with agentic AI systems - LLM orchestration, MCP, or data pipeline architecture.
- Background in analytics platforms, data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery), or enterprise content intelligence.
- Experience running platform sunset programs or managing engineering teams through a product transition.
- Prior experience at a startup scaling from $10M to $20M+ ARR with a lean team.
How to be Successful- Execution ownership: You don't just track work - you ensure it gets done, correctly and on time.
- Systems thinking: You understand how multiple workstreams interact and proactively manage dependencies.
- Technical judgment: You can challenge timelines and decisions with informed reasoning.
- Clarity in ambiguity: You bring structure, visibility, and direction to fast-moving, undefined environments.
- Strong communication: You keep stakeholders aligned through clear, concise, and timely updates.
- Bias for action: You identify blockers early and resolve them before they escalate.
- Operational rigor: You build processes that scale with the organization.
