Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in two of the following areas: demand planning, capacity planning, resource planning or forecasting.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, and creating agents to automate workflows, optimize data processes in capacity planning or supply chain environments.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations or other relevant fields.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 5 years of domain experience in cross-functional or cross-team projects in cloud capacity or scaled supply chain.
  • Experience in data modeling, trend analysis, statistics, forecasting, or business insights.
  • Experience with data center hardware technology and data center capacity planning and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated operational and leadership experience across automation and process initiatives. Track record of change management success across capacity planning, resource management and delivery, new product introduction, supply chain management, or infrastructure deployment.

To deliver a reliable capacity planning experience for Cloud Flex customers that is efficient and scalable, while adhering to GCP financial guardrails. Core Responsibilities Planning and Forecasting creating 18-month resource forecasts (GCU, RAM, Disk) for organic growth and new launches. Ensuring supply meets demand while managing allocations and staying within financial limits. Managing resource distribution from pantries to the flex pool and coordinating with services like BigQuery and PD. Driving initiatives for a touchless capacity pipeline to reduce toil and improve efficiency.

The team ensures Cloud Flex provides the right resources at the right time. They collaborate closely with service owners, supply chain, and power planning teams to power GCP infrastructure cost-effectively. Responsible for overseeing Block Storage forecast, supply projection and machine order management to ensure sufficient capacity for Persistent Disk (PD) forecasted demand, including organic and customer-driven workloads. Own the bottoms-up forecasting process, collaborating with PD Engineering and product management to assess the impact of engineering changes on capacity plans.

Responsibilities
  • Own the bottoms-up forecasting process for PD capacity, and working with PD Engineering and Product Management to understand the impact of engineering changes on our existing capacity plans.
  • Review and approve a comprehensive capacity plan for PD, considering organic growth, inorganic demand from major agreements, and business adjustments.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to our capacity plan, including those arising from changes in divestment logic, supply chain disruptions, and unexpected demand spikes. Drive mitigation plans to address these risks.
  • Discuss around de-duplicating organic and inorganic demand signals. Work closely with PD Engineering and Product Management (PdM) to understand product roadmaps, new features, and their capacity implications.
  • Partner with ODS on demand forecasting, modeling, and the development of more scalable and automated planning systems. Collaborate with regional CE leaders to provide input on customer workload prioritization.
