Within Geo, The Analytics team focuses on empowering geospatial practitioners, developers, and sustainability leaders. We provide the core tools including Google Earth, Earth Engine, and Environmental APIs to democratize planetary computation. Our team is at the forefront of driving Google's Mitigation, Adaptation, and Protection (MAP) impact, directly supporting environmental and sustainability decision-makers in the public and private sectors, while also driving growth in Reach, Engagement, and Revenue (RER).

As the Senior Technical Program Manager II leading the Analytics Program Management Office (PMO), you will shape and accelerate the delivery of Geo Makers' highest priorities. You will define, direct, and contribute to a portfolio of critical, high-stakes programs that have significant Geo and Google-wide impact. Operating as a transformational leader, you will set strategy, drive organizational change, and solve highly ambiguous problems holistically, independent of organizational boundaries.

You will lead and grow a team of Technical Program Managers and Program Managers, bringing focus to optimize program delivery and ensuring all efforts converge on achieving top Analytics OKRs. Your cross-functional expertise will bridge organizational silos, connecting the dots between engineering, product management, and our external user ecosystems to uncover valuable insights that influence strategic decision-making.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Define strategy and objectives for the Analytics PMO, building teams, tools, and processes to boost organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technical bets and high-uncertainty initiatives, structuring newly formed teams and scopes.
  • Provide equivalent engineering insight during architectural discussions, resolving disagreements, evaluating technical trade-offs, and mitigating platform dependencies.
  • Partner across Engineering, Product, and Business Strategy while acting as a trusted leadership proxy to drive decisions and align Geo stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor high-performing Program Managers, cultivate the Technical Program Manager (T/PgM) talent pipeline, and lead broader community and citizenship initiatives.
