Full Job Description
Fauna Robotics is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end program execution for robotic hardware systems, driving cross-functional teams from concept through production ramp. You will lead hardware development milestones across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software domains while managing supplier engagement, manufacturing readiness, and cross-site coordination. This role partners directly with product management, applied science, and executive stakeholders to define strategy, remove blockers, and deliver robots that are as delightful as they are capable.

Key job responsibilities

As a Technical Program Manager, you will work with experienced cross-disciplinary engineering teams to develop and deploy robotic systems. In this role, you will:

- Own end-to-end program execution for robotic hardware systems from concept through design verification, pilot, and production ramp

- Work with product management, applied science, and executive stakeholders to define program strategy, requirements, and success criteria

- Deep dive on key technical issues spanning mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software domains - leading teams to find solutions within program constraints

- Own and maintain cross-functional development schedules, identifying critical path and driving accountability across teams

- Lead hardware development milestones (EVT, DVT, PVT) following stage-gate processes, ensuring design maturity at each phase

- Drive supplier engagement and manufacturing readiness, including travel to vendor sites for prototype builds, tooling reviews, and production validation

- Communicate regularly with senior management on program status, risks, and key decisions - escalating effectively when needed

- Manage resource prioritization, drive cost optimization efforts, and look around corners to prevent common development pitfalls

Define and improve team processes, templates, and mechanisms that scale across multiple concurrent programs

- Coordinate cross-site execution with remote engineering teams and contract manufacturers

About the team

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is building capable, safe, and genuinely delightful robots for everyday life. Our goal is simple: make robots people actually want to live and interact with in everyday human spaces.

We believe that future won't arrive until building for robotics becomes far more accessible. Today, too much effort is spent reinventing the fundamentals. We're changing that by developing tightly integrated hardware and software systems that make it faster, safer, and more intuitive to create real-world robotic products.

Our work spans the full stack: mechanical design, control systems, dynamic modeling, and intelligent software. The focus is not just functionality, but experience. We're building robots that feel responsive, expressive, and genuinely useful.

At Fauna, you'll work at the frontier of this space, helping define how robots move, manipulate, and interact with people in natural environments. It's an opportunity to solve hard problems across hardware and software with a team focused on making robotics accessible and joyful to build.

If you care about making robotics real for everyone and building systems that are as delightful as they are capable, we're interested in hearing from you.

- Bachelor's degree or above in robotics, mechanical/mechatronics engineering, systems engineering or related field

- 3+ years of hardware development experience in electromechanical systems, robotics, or consumer electronics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
