Job Description

What Is the Opportunity?

Our Enterprise Payments team is undertaking mission-critical modernization initiatives across high-value and real-time payment platforms. In this role, you will serve as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders, operations, compliance, architecture, and engineering - driving analysis, design, delivery, and validation of payment solutions in a highly regulated financial services environment. You will own outcomes across the full product lifecycle, embedding AI-native practices and regulatory controls into every stage of delivery. If you thrive at the intersection of complex payments technology, cross-functional leadership, and continuous innovation, this is the role for you.

What Will You Do?
  • Own the product backlog, roadmap, and business outcomes for payment processing and platform modernization initiatives; monitor and control delivery activities according to plan.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear business, functional, and technical requirements across multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Lead requirements elicitation, solution design, and cross-functional alignment across multiple lines of business.
  • Design and analyze payment capabilities across High-Value Payments, including Domestic and Cross-Border payments, SWIFT MT/MX messaging, and ISO 20022 initiatives.
  • Embed sanctions screening, AML controls, and regulatory requirements directly into payment workflows and system design.
  • Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks; analyze, mitigate, and escalate where appropriate.
  • Champion AI-assisted delivery practices across the SDLC to drive automation and continuous improvement.
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms, collaborating with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into procedures and processes.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Have:
  • 7+ years in Financial Services, Payments, or Banking Technology, with 5+ years in Technical Product Ownership, Business Systems Analysis, or equivalent.
  • Deep expertise in High-Value Payments, RTGS settlement, SWIFT MT/MX messaging, and ISO 20022 standards.
  • Proven experience integrating sanctions screening, AML controls, and regulatory compliance requirements into payment platforms and system design.
  • Strong delivery track record in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models with demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities and the ability to determine the information needs of diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, product governance, and time management capabilities; deadline-driven and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in a matrix environment such as a large, publicly traded financial institution.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling and automation practices applied across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence in an enterprise delivery context.
  • Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate alignment among key decision makers across functions and business lines.

What's in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • Opportunities to do challenging work
  • Opportunities to take on progressively greater accountabilities
  • Access to a variety of job opportunities across business
