Blue Origin is pioneering the future of space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide.
Terawave is Blue Origin's commercial satellite communications network, a 6 Tbps multi-orbit constellation delivering enterprise-grade broadband to the most demanding customers on Earth. As Senior Product Manager for Think Big and Product Innovation, you will be Terawave's designated horizon-three thinker -- responsible for identifying, structuring, and developing the next generation of product opportunities. You will explore emerging use cases, develop business cases for strategic bets, and bring the rigor of a seasoned PM to opportunities that don't yet have a defined roadmap. This role requires rare combination of intellectual curiosity, commercial judgment, and the ability to move an idea from whitepaper to funded initiative.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Identify and evaluate emerging product opportunities: new customer segments, application verticals, and platform extensions for Terawave.
• Develop structured business cases for new product investments including market sizing, customer validation, technical feasibility, and financial model.
• Lead customer and ecosystem discovery for innovation initiatives: conduct research interviews, synthesize market signals, and identify unmet needs.
• Prototype and test product hypotheses using lightweight experiments, landing page tests, design sprints, or pilot commitments.
• Build relationships with potential design partners, strategic investors, and ecosystem players relevant to new product areas.
• Present innovation proposals to Head of Product and senior leadership for review and funding decisions.
• Partner with Engineering, Corp Dev, and Finance to scope investment requirements and evaluate build/buy/partner paths.
• Monitor competitive landscape and adjacent market developments
• Develop a product innovation framework and process for the Terawave PM team.
• Mentor other PMs
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 10+ years of product management, including demonstrated ownership of new product or new business development initiatives.
• Track record of taking a product from concept to funded roadmap item, including business case development and executive sign-off.
• Strong financial modeling skills: market sizing, unit economics, build/buy/partner analysis, and NPV/IRR for capital-intensive programs.
• Excellent research and synthesis skills: ability to turn ambiguous market signals into structured product opportunity documents.
• Demonstrated executive presence: comfort presenting speculative ideas with appropriate rigor and confidence.
• U.S. Person
Desired Qualifications:• MBA
• Experience in satellite telecommunications, commercial space, defense connectivity, or adjacent deep-tech verticals.
• Familiarity with spectrum regulation, ITU filings, or commercial launch market dynamics.
