Senior Technical Product ManagerWe9re hiring a
Senior Technical Product Manager to build and operate our vertical AI product surface at MGT that our brokers, insureds, and internal teams use every day. This is not a roadmap-and-jira role - product and engineering lanes are merging. Product talent at MGT operates fluidly across product strategy, data, design, and engineering. You will set the vision, sharpen the bet, ship the wedge, and then drive operational excellence on top of it.
TPMs that succeed at MGT embrace their responsibility for end-to-end execution and lean into MGTs comparative advantage - agility. You9ll write specs that read like product memos, sketch flows when a sketch is faster than a doc, query the warehouse when a query is faster than a meeting, and prototype with AI tools when a working artifact is more persuasive than a deck. You actively contribute code to your projects.
Key Responsibilities0-to-1 Product Leadership: Define, build, and drive adoption of AI-native commercial insurance products, delivering tools that let us scale efficiently.
AI-first strategy: Translate traditional insurance workflows into agent systems. Make crisp tradeoffs between model capability, build vs. rent decisions, and long term unit economics.
Hands-On Building: Deliver software with modern AI tooling, pull your own data, build prototypes, ship code. Writing clarifies our thinking but working artifacts orient teams. When it9s time to build you write code alongside the engineering team.
Execution excellence: Set a high product bar. Work side by side with your internal and external customers to spot undervalued capabilities, kill weak features fast, and defend the experiences that matter.
QualificationsCompelling storytelling skills. Product is becoming increasingly technical but the bedrock of the role are communication skills that drive teams forward. Experience building AI systems. You9ve led a team that built an AI-enabled system beyond a simple chat bot and can speak fluently about successes and pitfalls taking it to market. Strong technical literacy. You actively contribute to your team9s codebase, get your own data, and are equally comfortable whiteboarding systems or talking unit economics. Growth stage experience. MGT is a small high accountability organization and that9s a plus for you. References from peer department managers (Engineering, GTM, etc.) that loved working with you.

- A passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth experience.

What We Test ForWe assume technical-skill screens are increasingly noisy in an AI-augmented world. Our interview team is looking to screen judgement and storytelling with:
- Live, open-ended product discussions. Walk us through what has worked (and what hasn9t) in your AI builds.
- Hands-on evidence. Show us something you built (without violating employer confidences or NDAs). Walk us through the strategy, execution, and adoption.
- Reference depth. We do thorough reference checks and weigh them heavily.
What We Offer- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Leadership role in shaping the future of a modern digital insurance platform.
- A collaborative and forward-thinking work environment.
Compensation$180,000-$275,000 annual base salary + bonus + equity (commensurate with experience and dependent on location)
