The Senior Technical Lead is responsible for leading the development of software product and integrated solutions that meet customer expectations. You will create the solution architecture and design for your product in collaboration with Digital platforms and architects. You will oversee and make decisions on the overall design and development of the platform as well as the end-to-end lifecycle, aligning to best practices in collaboration with product and architecture. You will maintain a high degree of technical and business acumen related to your product to effectively contribute to the architecture and overall lifecycle of the solution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a cross-functional team to develop, modify, configure and integrate solutions to meet business requirements and engineering specifications
  • Collaborate with the business Product Owner to plan product work, prioritizing tech debt and other technical vitalization items
  • Deliver solution architecture artifacts that define non-functional requirements and implementations as well as end-to-end system and business impacts in collaboration with architects and other teams
  • Maintain and enforce technology best practices, policies and procedures regarding coding standards, versioning, quality, and configuration
  • Drive product improvements that will accelerate delivery, increase quality, and reduce maintenance
  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver solutions
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with internal and external partners
  • Focus on continuous learning and professional development
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members
  • Drive an agile mindset within the product stack that measures progress over perfection
  • Hold yourself and your team accountable to contribute to the overall digital modernization of the organization
  • Ensure solutions are enhanced, secured, and upgraded to evolve the roadmap


QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or computer science or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience delivering software, integration or platform engineering solutions following a SDLC
  • High level of proficiency in Salesforce Experience Cloud, Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) and Salesforce Development (Visualforce and Lightning Web Components) processes
  • Solid understanding of the following is an asset:
    • Salesforce integrations and an understanding of API's
    • Salesforce Sales, Marketing and Service Clouds
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Proficiency with software development techniques such as Unit Testing, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Automated Testing
  • Be a technical thought leader, overseeing development and quality standards, including code reviews, code management, documentation, testing and product/platform-based monitoring and alerting
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships
  • Able to pivot and quickly change direction in response to changing priorities
  • Experience coaching and mentoring software developers on requirements analysis, design patterns and development best practices
  • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, complex concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and BitBucket (GIT) an asset
  • Experience working in financial services industry as an asset


The base salary for this position is between $113,500 - $163,500 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
