Job Summary

This position requires a creative, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking individual who aims for the highest standards of excellence. This individual will be able to problem solve the technical aspects of the design process both as part of a collaborative team and perform work independently. We believe team members with 12 or more years of experience are most likely to be successful, however those with unique career experience or display clear potential for the role will be considered. 

Requirements (Qualifications)

  • Professional Architecture degree; Bachelor or Master of Architecture or Technical

  • Relevant professional and technical work experience with a proven record of managing multiple projects, including projects over $50M

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate and lead a diverse team

  • Proven track record of leading and coordinating work efforts of staff, with thoughtful, inspirational and collaborative leadership

  • Specialized knowledge of Revit, BIM tools, Building Codes, Documentation and Constructability

  • Bluebeam knowledge desired

  • LEED AP and/or WELL AP a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Works in tandem with Client, Project Architect, Design Project Manager, Design team members, Development, and Construction to lead the development of documentation for coordination and construction.

  • Lead technical efforts with Architects and Designers through the design process of complex large size projects.

  • Lead design meetings, consultant meetings and project team meetings.

  • Independently solves problems.

  • Provides technical guidance on unusual or complex design issues.

  • Lead code reviews and regulatory approval process.

  • Lead all detailing efforts throughout the design and construction phases of multiple projects.

  • Lead technical execution of complete and thorough set of design documents to meet project goals, milestones and schedule.

  • Lead and coordinate project design schedules.

  • Lead code implementation, constructability and modeling efforts for all aspects of the design documentation and construction phase to ensure a high level of technical accuracy.

  • Manages and coordinates Ryan’s QA/QC process and project specifications.

  • Identifies and clearly communicates deviations in technical aspects of project scope.

  • Performs tasks with a high level of collaboration and sets an example for others to follow.

  • Contributes to Ryan culture through participation in office activities, initiatives and learning programs.

  • Direct, supervise and mentor staff.

Compensation

The annual base pay is $90,100-$115,000. The base salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
