Senior Technical Business Analyst
About your role:
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will support the Collections Platform by translating business needs into clear, testable requirements for complex platform initiatives and migrations. You will work across business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to improve credit processing and collections capabilities in a regulated environment. Your work will help deliver accurate, compliant, and scalable solutions that support platform modernization and operational continuity.
What you'll do:
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements for Collections Platform initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners.
- Analyze current-state credit card issuing, processing, and collections workflows, identify gaps, and define future-state requirements aligned to business objectives and platform strategy.
- Use artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools to accelerate requirements discovery, improve documentation quality, support impact analysis, and strengthen dependency identification and traceability.
- Define and maintain requirements that are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned with business outcomes, technical design, and validation activities.
- Support collections platform migration planning and execution by defining data mapping, transformation rules, reconciliation requirements, cutover dependencies, and migration checkpoints.
- Produce business process models, functional specifications, migration artifacts, and data definitions, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and system integration testing to validate business rules and processing outcomes.
- Partner with business units, technology teams, delivery partners, and vendors to provide status updates, impact assessments, risk identification, and data-driven input in governance and working sessions.

Experience you'll need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis supporting credit card issuing, payment processing, and collections platforms in financial services or other regulated environments.
- 6+ years of experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and functional documentation for large-scale technology initiatives using traceability and validation practices.
- 6+ years of experience supporting platform migration or transformation programs, including data mapping, reconciliation, cutover planning, and impact analysis.
- 3+ years of experience using SQL, Postman, and application programming interface (API) testing methods to analyze data, validate integrations, and support requirements definition.
- 3+ years of experience working with payment ecosystems, collections workflows, and regulatory requirements, including Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) or similar compliance frameworks.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve requirements definition, documentation quality, analysis efficiency, and traceability.
- Foundational knowledge of Java, Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs, and service-based integrations.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with Optis platforms for credit card management.
- Experience with leading card processing platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience in payments or financial services platform modernization programs.
How you'll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range
$100,000.00 - $165,600.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
