Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? The incumbent plays a key role as they will be responsible for accurately and consistently processing of corporate action on tax basis for all funds/clients. They will be the point of contact for Fund Auditors for all corporate action backups and queries and be responsible for tax sub-ledger gain/loss and cost and corporate action GLs.
What will you do? - Review corporate actions to determine tax treatment for all corporate actions for fund accounting clients.
- Review CRA website and update approved foreign spin off on tax deferred basis on tax sub-ledger and GLs.
- Process and review corporate actions on tax basis to reflect the tax cost and offsetting entries in GLs as needed for all funds in fund accounting.
- Work closely with Pricing team regarding corporate actions processed, review the corporate action log to make sure it is accurate.
- Review corporate action related GLs to make sure the amounts are accurate.
- Provide fund auditors all information to relating to corporate actions including backups.
- Work with TAG, Corporate Action to make sure treatment is consistent with custody and other RBC Platforms.
- Update tax sub-ledger cost adjustments for corporate action and other fund events like fund mergers.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have:- 2 + year of experience preferably in fund accounting
- University Degree on Business, Finance or Commerce
- Canadian Securities course or industry related course

Pay RangeThe expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
