Overview

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will lead key client relationships within Wipfli's Construction Practice, delivering strategic tax and business advisory services while helping drive practice growth. This role combines deep technical expertise, leadership, and business development to create meaningful impact for clients, team members, and the firm.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to construction clients, providing strategic tax planning, consulting, and business advisory services.
  • Lead complex tax engagements for contractors, developers, and related entities, including multi-state compliance, long-term contract accounting, and entity structuring.
  • Proactively identify tax-saving opportunities and provide guidance on emerging tax legislation and industry trends.
  • Manage and expand key client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnership.
  • Drive business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities, participating in industry networking, and supporting proposal and prospect activities.
  • Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions that address clients' business and tax needs.
  • Provide oversight of engagement quality, risk management, profitability, and timely delivery.
  • Mentor and develop managers, seniors, and staff while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
  • Contribute to practice growth initiatives, talent development, and the overall success of Wipfli's Construction Practice.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
