Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review corporate and partnership tax returns for federal and state compliance

  • Conduct technical tax research on federal, state, and international topics
  • Stay updated with tax law changes and conduct in-depth research

Description

You will provide services to predominantly US-inbound international businesses in the manufacturing and distribution industry. If you are seeking a dynamic workplace backed by supportive team members, competitive benefits, and a unique (global) client base, then we might be the firm for you!

What you will do:
  • Prepare and review Federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns
  • Assist with the preparation and review of income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, answering ad-hoc tax-related inquiries, handling notices, and addressing client requests
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of work while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
  • Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topics
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations; performance in-depth tax search, deliver timely and high-quality services that exceed client expectations
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates and interns

What you need to bring:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in federal and state income tax, including experience in public accounting
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation
  • Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry
  • CCH Axcess tax experience
  • Excellent research, writing and communication skills in English
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrate responsibility, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively as a team player

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong corporate tax compliance and tax provision experience
  • CPA license or similar certification
  • ProSystem fx Engagement
