  • Conduct technical tax research and contribute to tax planning and modeling.
  • Support federal, state, and local audits with organized information.

Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst

The Impact You'll Make

Ready to make an impact at the heart of a global organization? Danfoss is seeking a highly skilled, detail-driven Senior Tax Analyst to join our North America Income Tax Reporting & Compliance team. Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, NAM, you will help shape critical U.S. direct tax compliance and income tax accounting activities while collaborating with the direct tax compliance team on a dynamic range of high-impact priorities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare U.S. federal, state, and local income tax forms, schedules, and supporting calculations with accuracy and confidence.
  • Prepare Canadian federal and provincial income tax forms, schedules, and supporting calculations.
  • Calculate estimated tax payments and help keep critical deadlines on track.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly tax provisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external service providers on key tax matters.
  • Conduct technical tax research and contribute to tax planning, modeling, and other strategic tax projects.
  • Gather, organize, and provide information in support of federal, state, and local audits.
  • Contribute to state apportionment workpapers.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Review tax notices and other correspondence, helping drive timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Take on additional related responsibilities as business needs evolve.


What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; a concentration in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • At least two years of federal and state income tax experience, including required experience with C corporations; partnership and LLC experience is a plus.
  • CPA designation or active CPA candidacy is preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing as part of a team.
  • Resourcefulness, adaptability, and self-motivation to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required. Experience with Thomson Reuters, OneSource, HFM, and SAP is preferred but not required.
  • This hybrid role requires the selected candidate to reside within 50 miles of the Ames, Iowa, facility.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
