Overview & ResponsibilitiesPurpose of the JobThe Senior Tax Accountant will assist the global tax team across a variety of tax functions. The primary focus is US direct/income tax compliance and income tax provision. Secondary duties include supporting indirect tax filings and assisting with occasional transfer pricing and global tax projects as needed. The ideal candidate will conduct tax research to maintain compliance and adapt to changing tax laws.
Background and Experience- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 4+ years of prior tax accounting experience.
Preferred Experience:
- CPA (active or in-progress) or master's in taxation (MST) preferred.
- Relevant experience with a public accounting firm or large U.S. multinational corporation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data manipulation, complex formulas, pivot tables).
- Experience with enterprise tax software (e.g., OneSource Income Tax) and ERP systems (Oracle, FCCS).
Specific Job Responsibilities/Competencies- Prepare quarterly and annual corporate income tax provisions, tax workpapers, and financial statement disclosures.
- Prepare federal Form 1120 and multi-state corporate income tax returns, including state apportionment calculations and tax credit schedules.
- Calculate quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments and annual extension requests. - Perform monthly and quarterly general ledger tax account reconciliations.
- Support sales and use tax compliance, property tax filings, and routine tax authority notices/correspondence.
- Assist with ad-hoc global tax projects, including gathering financial data for annual transfer pricing documentation and tracking intercompany transactions.
- Perform technical tax research using tools like Bloomberg Tax to ensure compliance with legislative changes.
