Description
Copeland, a global leader in sustainable climate solutions is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in North America! This is a high-impact role where you’ll own full-cycle recruiting across the United States, shape sourcing strategies, and directly influence how we attract and hire the best talent.
This role sits within our Global Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (COE) and reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager – North America & Europe (U.S.-based). The position can be based in Sidney, OH or St. Louis, MO and is Hybrid.
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, You Will:
Lead full cycle, end-to-end salaried recruiting efforts across the United States. This includes effectively marketing and advertising our job opportunities, building your talent network, sourcing and identifying passive talent, screening and interviewing candidates, preparing, extending and negotiating offers as well as hiring and assisting in onboarding the new hires
Collaborate with other TA team members, managers & HR teams to gain a solid understanding of our organization, including the over-arching strategy, lines of business, structure, products & culture to be able to effectively communicate this with candidates
Develop and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and HR teams, serving as a trusted partner to ensure we meet talent needs and objectives
Serve as a talent advisor who consults with leaders on effective strategies to achieve talent needs, including providing education on recruiting standards, processes & hiring laws
Partner with business leaders to develop hiring strategies aligned to workforce plans, business growth, and market conditions
Create, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with professional organizations and groups to drive Copeland brand awareness, increase engagements with potential candidates and bolster our talent pipelines
Coach and support junior members of the TA team
Provide an excellent candidate and hiring team experience. Bring innovative ideas and approaches forward and work with a continuous improvement mentality through gathering feedback and incorporating contemporary market best practices
Conduct market research and share talent intelligence to bolster competitiveness of our opportunities, and how to best frame our jobs and organization. Be knowledgeable in marketplace/industry trends and incorporate takeaways into strategies and approaches
Be an expert in the utilization of recruiting tools and be proficient in the usage of our HRIS (Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, HireEZ and other sourcing or recruiting tools)
Proactively research, evaluate and use new sourcing and talent research tools, ideas or methods to bolster innovative sourcing strategies to net top talent
Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:
This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional recruiting experience, including building and implementing effective sourcing & recruiting strategies across the United States.
Possess hunter mentality with the ability to manage projects or processes and work independently
Experience using a multitude of sourcing and recruiting related tools
Ability to align talent acquisition team objectives with business priorities to ensure top performance
Must be detail-oriented with project and time management experience and skills with a demonstrable track record of meeting set deadlines to provide employee/management customer service
Experience working in an environment where multiple high-level searches and projects are the norm. This includes being metric and performance driven using analytics to drive decision making
Proven positive communication skills, including the ability to connect with people internally & externally and at varying levels of the organization. Be collaborative, creative and operate with urgency through the ability to prioritize effectively to deliver top results
Be willing and able to travel to key Copeland sites in the United States
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of professional recruiting experience, including building and implementing effective sourcing & recruiting strategies
Previous experience recruiting highly technical, niche roles within a manufacturing organization
Previous experience with Workday
Based near Sidney, OH
