At Avient, we're seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Talent Acquisition Partner who is passionate about connecting exceptional talent with meaningful career opportunities. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving the recruitment strategy for critical professional, technical, engineering, and research & development positions across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in recruiting for advanced manufacturing environments and possess the ability to identify, engage, and attract highly specialized talent. This individual will leverage advanced sourcing techniques, talent market intelligence, and strong stakeholder partnerships to deliver top talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner will work cross-functionally with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and leadership teams to develop proactive recruiting strategies that support business growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies while managing full-cycle recruitment for salaried positions, with a primary focus on engineering, technical, scientific, research & development, advanced manufacturing, operations leadership, and other business-critical roles.
  • Recruit for specialized disciplines including but not limited to Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Process Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D functions.
  • Manages full life cycle recruiting for 20-30 requisitions concurrently and varies based on business need.
  • Brings a solution oriented and consultative approach to all interactions.
  • Drive an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring consistent communication, transparency, and professionalism throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Lead intake meetings and assist hiring managers with job profiling, interview planning, candidate assessments, and selection decisions.
  • Effectively evaluate candidates' technical competencies, experience, and potential fit through structured screening and interviewing techniques.
  • Flexibility to adjust strategies and approaches based on changing needs and market conditions.
  • Partners with all levels of management (including executives) to understand succession needs and develops proactive strategies to address talent gaps.
  • Manages the total candidate experience, which includes but is not limited to; branding and sourcing outreach, communication at all stages in the process, conducting phone and in person interviews, scheduling and interview preparation, to offer and pre-employment screening.
  • Maintains relationships with business networks and professional organizations to gain knowledge and obtain referrals.
  • Maintains thorough documentation of requisition status, candidates flow and selection decisions.
  • Understands and strives for excellence to meet KPI's.
  • Proactively communicates with hiring managers and HR on open positions, status, roadblocks, wins and opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively with the HR team to identify bottlenecks in the hiring to on-boarding process, propose solutions, implement and communicate the successful solutions more broadly.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Avient's technologies, products, innovation initiatives, manufacturing processes, and organizational structure to effectively represent career opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Develops a solid understanding of Avient's HR policies, programs and procedures.
  • Contributes to special projects and initiatives as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in Talent Acquisition with emphasis on full life cycle salaried recruiting. Preferably in a manufacturing or consumer packaged goods setting.
  • Proven experience recruiting for highly specialized technical disciplines including engineering, R&D, product development, quality, operations, and manufacturing leadership positions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive change/process management.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and drive results in attaining staffing goals.
  • Understands Recruiting KPI's and strives for excellence to deliver results.
  • Strong knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, and social network recruiting platforms; Oracle Recruitment Cloud, Indeed, and LinkedIn Recruiter platform.
