Position Summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Technician to manage, maintain, and optimize all electronic security systems within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This role is based onsite in our Palo Alto, CA location. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of integrated security platforms, including access control, alarm monitoring, and video surveillance systems. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors. This role is critical to maintaining the operational integrity and compliance of all GSOC-managed security systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a secure, reliable, and scalable security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Security Systems Administration & Support

  • Oversee daily operation and maintenance of security systems, including:
    • MAS Mastermind Monitoring System
    • ProWatch badge/card access control system
    • DMP alarm panels
    • Honeywell access control panels
    • CCTV and video management systems
  • Monitor system health and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and firmware updates

GSOC Operations Support

  • Serve as the technical escalation point for GSOC operators
  • Ensure continuous functionality of monitoring platforms and alarm response systems
  • Support incident response by providing system data, logs, and technical expertise

Compliance & Certification

  • Maintain and manage UL certification requirements and renewal processes
  • Ensure systems meet regulatory, corporate, and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, diagrams, and audit records

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Interface with third-party vendors, integrators, and service providers
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance, installations, and repairs
  • Ensure contractor work complies with security policies and technical standards

Project Management & Implementation

  • Support design, deployment, and commissioning of new security systems
  • Participate in system expansions, upgrades, and integration projects
  • Validate system performance post-installation

Access Control & User Management

  • Administer user access levels, permissions, and badging systems
  • Conduct audits of access control systems and user activity

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with the willingness and ability to obtain a government security clearance
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with enterprise security systems in a GSOC or similar environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Proven experience with:
    • Access control systems (e.g., ProWatch or equivalent)
    • Alarm monitoring systems (e.g., MAS Mastermind, DMP, or equivalent)
    • CCTV/video management systems
  • Knowledge of Honeywell security platforms or equivalent
  • Experience managing United Laboratories-certified systems and compliance requirements
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, IP devices, troubleshooting)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and system schematics
  • Ability to be on call
  • Ability to travel to local offices as well as overnight domestic travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in security systems or electronics (e.g., Lenel, Honeywell, or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to physical security systems
  • Project management experience
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to system integrity

In support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.  The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.





 

● The base pay for this position within California is: $111,000.00 - $185,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
