Full Job Description
Job Summary: The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining ScriptPro's internal and customer-facing production environments. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues while ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of systems across both on-premises and cloud platforms.

This position plays a critical role in supporting hybrid environments by troubleshooting issues across infrastructure, applications, and cloud services. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional capable of working across multiple domains, including servers, networking, cloud platforms, and application support. Working closely with internal teams and external customers, this role contributes to system reliability and continuous improvement through proactive analysis, root cause investigation, and ongoing optimization efforts.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Enterprise Architecture

Shift: General business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. This role may require flexibility based on business needs. This role is primarily performed remotely, though Kansas City Metro employees may have on-campus requirements according to departmental policy and business need. Generally, all positions may be fully performed on-campus in Mission, KS. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.

Scope of the Role:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting customer production environments across cloud and on-premises systems
  • Analyze system performance and stability, implementing corrective actions to improve reliability
  • Support and maintain infrastructure including applications, servers, and configurations
  • Perform remote system configuration, upgrades, and patching
  • Diagnose issues across physical and virtual environments, including hybrid cloud architectures
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Applications, Infrastructure, Development) to resolve cross-functional issues
  • Document, track, and manage service requests and activities in Siebel with a high level of accuracy
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in technical support, systems administration, cloud operations, or a similar IT role
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across systems, applications, and networking
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and cloud-based development environments
  • Proficiency with Power Platform technologies
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools including creating and utilizing custom Copilot Studio agents
  • Knowledge of healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and client-server environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, monitoring, Entra, Purview, and Defender
  • Experience with SQL Server troubleshooting and basic database administration
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, and Systems Center Configuration Manager
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and general connectivity concepts
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
  • Familiarity with ticketing/service desk systems and SLA-driven support models
  • Understanding of PHI, PII, and security/compliance frameworks such as HITRUST


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and/or medical insurance billing
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with emphasis in outpatient pharmacy practice
  • Fundamental IT Certification (A+, MCITP Windows OS, Network +, etc.)


Remote Work Requirements:

  • Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection
  • Must have a distraction free home office workspace
  • Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)
