Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a System Engineer to join our team. In this role you will get to support key activities in defense of emerging threats in the cybersecurity domain.  You will work as part of a team that develops and tailors capabilities with the goal to prevent and eradicate threats to critical U.S. systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Engage directly with globally dispersed government customers to elicit requirements from users of a customized capability and facilitate communications across internal team of software engineers, data scientists and cyber threat analysts.
  • Translate customer requirements and advocate in support of their needs associated with data visualizations, questions, tool outages etc.
  • As needed, may support minimal travel to CONUS sites.
  • Participate in interface definition, design, and changes throughout project lifecycle. Capture and store all interface designs in a commonly accessible repository.
  • Develop lower-level requirements from higher-level requirements that describe in detail the functions a system component must fulfill and ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  • In conjunction with system stakeholders, plan verification efforts of new designs early in the development lifecycle to ensure compliance with established requirements.
  • Develop technical documentation, system architecture and design documentation.
  • Collaborate in agile scrum cycles, contribute to design sessions, conduct periodic reviews of evolving data requirements for system expansion and growth.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science in System Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Seven plus (7+)  years’ experience working as a System Engineer with demonstrated experience eliciting government requirements, and planning intelligence efforts.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
