Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe mission of the
Sr.
Systems Engineer is to support sustaining of released Metrology products, introduction of new designs and creation of upgrades impacting both Manufacturing and Service environments for such products. Scope of work includes but is not limited to: component selection, BOM/revision maintenance, design specification determination and qualification, process and procedure evolution and isolation of system performance gaps within operations and customer environments. This role will interface regularly with other engineering teams throughout the operations, service, hardware and software development organizations, reporting to the Sr Manager responsible for Sustaining Engineering
Roles and Responsibilities:- Designs & develops new hardware features for released products
- Evolves product, process and test design to improve product performance and reliability
- Drives selection, qualification and release of component obsolescence alternatives
- Implements new design releases via change-order processes
- Design and conduct experiments to characterize, troubleshoot, and improve complex optical metrology systems
- Engineering tier 3 & 4 escalation support for released & mature lifecycle products.
- Working within copy exactly requirements.
- Occasional travel both within the USA and overseas may be required in support of Engineering Projects.
Qualifications- 7+ years of increasingly responsible engineering and product development experience in leading high-tech companies preferably engaged in the manufacture of advanced semiconductor equipment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Optical preferred) or related technical (or equivalent knowledge) and 5+ years directly related experience
- Broad understanding of Wafer Handling Automation Systems, Control Systems & Optical Systems is a must
- Background in development of optical inspection-based equipment a plus
- Experience in computer / server architecture a plus
- Experience in creating test programs to resolve complex issues a plus.
- Strong sense of urgency, discipline and accountability
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to resolve personnel conflicts communicate and influence across all levels of the organization
- Strong problem solving, technical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate, quantitative, and timely analysis
- Exceptional oral, interpersonal communication and presentation skills

Compensation & Growth• Base Salary Range:
$128,000.00 - $192,000.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
