The Operations and Mission Analysis department supports customer focused mission modeling and simulation activities for all customer areas at Raytheon. Our teams develop, analyze, and create flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas such as sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations. They develop tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements. As a
Senior Systems Engineer - Mission Analyst, you will be part of a team of systems engineers dedicated to delivering best-in-class Raytheon products for the warfighter through modeling, simulation, and analysis. Your work will help demonstrate mission effectiveness of systems and system-of-systems operating in complex threat environments. On this team, you will be responsible for developing and analyzing solutions across mission technologies, including sensors, effectors, communications, command and control, and more.
This position is locate onsite in McKinney Texas.
What You Will Do- Participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to support mission trade studies using mission and engagement level simulations.
- Responsible for the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments.
- Modeling of system and mission kill chains using Government, Commercial, and/or Raytheon simulation tools.
- Executing mission system simulations and analyzing their results.
- Development of metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events that led to an action.
- Participate in technical reviews with internal and external customers.
- Contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.
Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience working with Python.
- Experience working with MATLAB.
- Experience in at least one of the following:
1. Sensors (RADARS, EOIR, etc.)
2. Network Communications
3. Weapons/Effects (Missiles, Projectiles)
4. Command & Control
5. Resource Management.
- Experience with at least one of the following:
1. Military Operations Analysis
2. Modeling & Simulation in defense industry
3. Data analysis & Visualization.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer- Experience working with Linux.
- Familiar with performing data analysis and statistics with large volumes of data.
- Experience with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments.
- Experience providing briefs and presentations to US government customers.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance
- Ability to understand tactics as described by military experts and to represent their employment (verbally, graphically, and in simulations).
- Experience with standard government modeling tools including AFSIM, Suppressor, Brawler, or similar tools.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
