Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. This is an onsite position.

Utilize your Systems Engineering skills to serve as our Technical Element Lead, focusing on the Test and Evaluation (T&E) of the Aegis Training Systems element, providing technical and engineering support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, documentation, and execution of Integrated Test Articles (ITAs), which are built for Level 4 (Aegis Weapon System) and Level 5 (Aegis Combat System) test efforts at Land-Based Test Sites (LBTS), waterfront, and at-sea
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, documentation, and execution of CST events, to include Benchmark procedures for training capabilities, Mission Threads, and other supplemental test requirements
  • Collaborate with other applicable Technical Systems Baseline Leads, the prime developer, and other government T&E organizations to ensure a streamlined test strategy is planned and executed
  • Implement and enforce Enterprise T&E best practices, processes, and tools for the planning, execution, and tracking of T&E events and objectives
  • Generate test plans, procedures, test reports, T&E briefing materials, and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) as required to support milestone meetings and other data calls
  • Generate and maintain test schedules
  • Support the implementation of potential automated test and analysis solutions


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with 8+ years of Aegis training systems experience
  • 4+ years of related experience in Aegis fleet operations, Aegis Weapon System operations, and/or Aegis T&E
  • Experience with the Aegis Combat System and its associated interfaces
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Understanding of Combat Information Center (CIC) operations
  • Knowledge of shipboard operations and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership of teams or projects


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current and active Secret security clearance


Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
