Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join the SWIFT & Payments Technology team. This role will develop and support critical payment infrastructure supporting SWIFT messaging, cross border payments, ISO 20022 initiatives, cloud transformation, and platform resiliency programs. The successful candidate will partner with architecture, engineering, operations, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable payment solutions.

The SWIFT & Payments platform supports mission critical global payment processing and financial messaging services. As the organization continues its transformation toward cloud native architectures, ISO 20022 adoption, and enhanced operational resilience, this role will provide the technical leadership necessary to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.

This position can be based near any CGI office within the EST or CST time zones, with a hybrid work model available.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Lead the design, delivery, and support of SWIFT and payment processing platforms.
. Drive architecture and technical design decisions across strategic initiatives.
. Establish engineering standards, best practices, and operational controls.
. Ensure alignment with enterprise technology and security standards.
. Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technology solutions.
. Own platform availability, resiliency, and performance.
. Support internal and external audits.
. Maintain strong governance over production changes and operational risk management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 12+ years of technology experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
. Strong experience with SWIFT messaging and global payments.
. Deep understanding of distributed systems, messaging platforms, APIs, and middleware technologies.
. Experience with Azure cloud technologies and cloud migration strategies.
. Strong knowledge of Kafka, MQ, integration platforms, and event driven architectures.
. Expertise in high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery design.
. Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives across large organizations.
. Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
. Experience managing critical production platforms in a financial services environment.
. Experience supporting SWIFT, payments, treasury, or financial messaging solutions.
. Experience with Azure cloud platform and modern DevOps practices.
. Knowledge of ISO 20022, payment networks, and financial industry regulations preferred.
. Willing to learn and support Swift network interface software applications including Linux , cloud hosted and Legacy Tandem applications.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

. Knowledge of Swift business is a plus.

. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $102,000.00 $238,100.00.
