Tredegar Surface Protection has an exciting opportunity for a Production Planning and Logistics Sr. Analyst to join our Team at our Pottsville, PA manufacturing site! Influence global supply chain decisions, drive operational excellence, and help shape the future of planning and logistics for an international manufacturing business.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Analyst, Production Planning and Logistics is responsible for managing the worldwide capacity/demand matrix, coordinating shipment scheduling, maintaining logistics data, and executing production schedules for core business operations. This role serves as the primary resource for capacity and demand planning and requires sound independent judgment, effective decision-making, and the ability to manage day-to-day processes in a manufacturing environment.

This position coordinates material workflow, communicates cross-functionally regarding production progress and scheduling, and makes necessary adjustments based on changing business needs. Responsibilities include preparing reports and documentation related to inventory levels, production, transportation, maintenance, costs, and other critical data for internal use and external customers.
This role supports timely responses to internal and external customers, ensures customer needs are met at the lowest delivered cost, and incorporates logistics considerations into capacity alignment decisions. The position also requires maintaining positive working relationships with other departments, vendors, and customers.

DUTIES
  • Manage accurate Capacity/Demand matrix and serve as the functional expert for worldwide and domestic capacity/demand matrix for core businesses of Surface Protection in order to assist in the efficient flow of manufacturing and product production. Requires collaboration with Supply Chain in fully reviewing and utilizing JDE to improve process flow.
  • Serve as the primary resource for domestically produced shipment scheduling and coordination with external customer and third-party logistics (customers). Will efficiently manage shipment scheduling and coordination. Will interact with internal departments and external customers to meet customer product delivery requirements
  • Develop and maintain a detailed database of logistics information for use in capacity alignment decisions. Responsible for establishing JDE as the primary data source, to modify and transfer data to JDE as well as being responsible for data management. Responsible for logistics recommendations and solutions.
  • Execute and revise plant production schedules and initiate strategic changes as needed in day-to-day operations. Will review production schedules to determine materials required and ensure accurate inventory is available to avoid production delays. Responsible for timely communication to production as well as coordination with external customers to meet on-time shipment of product.
  • Provide critical information and support to customers (internal and external), as requested. Information to include but not limited to; documentation to assure on time delivery, quality concerns, forecast planning.
  • Serve as the process expert for Pottsville international shipments, which entails a higher standard of ensuring customs clearance, export compliance and tariff understanding. Responsible for remaining current on international logistics regulations and laws to meet required international standards.
  • Define, lead and/or participate in various process improvement projects within the scope of functional area.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to assess various computer programs and make recommendations for improvements to achieve better utilization of current and/or new systems,
  • SOX Compliance, Order Management & Invoicing
    • Responsible for execution and compliance of all order-to-cash documentation processes in alignment with SOX requirements.
    • Order Validation: Review all sales orders for accuracy and approvals.
    • Order Changes: Ensure all PO/order changes are documented.
    • Pricing Verification: Reconfirm pricing prior to shipment.
    • Shipping Coordination: Provide validated documentation to shipping.
    • Post-Shipment: Update records and trigger invoicing.
    • Invoice Ownership: Process all Pottsville invoices.
    • International Compliance: Same-day document handling and freight forwarder coordination.
    • BOL Management: Maintain signed BOLs for domestic and international shipments.
    • Audit Documentation: Compile and archive invoice packets for SOX/audit purposes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree with 5 plus years' relevant experience in a related area preferred. Manufacturing plant experience required. Proficiency in JDE or similar system required.
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook required.

An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered.

This is an on-site position with limited hybrid work opportunities available. Summer work hours are available.
