The Lead Logistics Analyst operates with a higher degree of autonomy, leading small-to-mid-sized projects and initiatives while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategy with company objectives.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Recommends and leads implementation of policy, process, and systems improvements to maximize the effective management of materials and enhance operational efficiency across the network.
  • Develops short- to mid-term objectives and action plans, ensuring alignment with broader company goals, and initiates and drives corrective actions when performance gaps arise.
  • Leads or contributes significantly to small projects or discrete portions of larger team/organizational initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Resolves complex, ambiguous issues independently by evaluating multiple variable factors, applying judgment to select appropriate methods and evaluation criteria, and escalating only the most novel or high-risk problems.
  • Establishes, documents, and administers unit-level policies, procedures, and systems governing inventory and materials management.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, sales, finance) to align supply chain activities with organizational priorities and resolve interdepartmental bottlenecks.
  • Provides guidance, mentorship, and technical direction to less experienced logistics/inventory analysts, reviewing their work and helping build their capability.
  • Monitors key performance indicators (inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy) and reports insights and recommendations to management.
  • Supports audits and administrative controls to ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements related to materials management.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Advanced professional with deep, specialized expertise in logistics and supply chain management, capable of independently resolving complex and varied issues through creative, judgment-based solutions.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, master scheduling, and materials management.
  • Proficiency with supply chain planning systems (e.g., ERP/WMS platforms) and advanced Excel or data analysis tools; experience with forecasting or inventory optimization software preferred.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage competing deliverables.
  • Prior experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior team members preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for varying audiences.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory/materials management (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP) a plus.

This role requires but is not limited to 10% travel.

This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States, with the exception of Alaska. #LI-Remote
