The Senior Supervisor Accounting is responsible for the daily processing of the Operations unit including performing the functions of the Senior Manager Operations in his/her absence. This job requires the supervision of staff who are responsible for:
  • the processing of all accounting entries for the DFC;
  • maintenance of the flooring and leasing loan portfolios for automotive customers (including OLL, BA's and Bulk);
  • verification of wholesale leases and chattels;
  • ordering of flooring audits;
  • supervision of clerical/computer support to the DFC.

He/she is responsible for meeting negotiated goals which include customer and employee satisfaction goals, human resource management and operational effectiveness objectives. He/she provides leadership and guidance to the DFC delivery network in a manner consistent with the overall Domestic Bank strategy of developing and leading a customer-focused culture while achieving business line revenue and ROEE objectives. This includes a primary responsibility for leading, managing, coaching and training others by focusing on Customer Service disciplines.

  • Supervises accounting staff responsible for the processing of all routine transactions for the Centre and the maintenance of the Automotive Flooring & Leasing system (flooring internet portal / OLL)
    • Ensuring compliance to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) policies.
    • Ensuring adherence to Information, Security and Policy Privacy Requirements.
    • Occupational Health & Safety Officer as assigned


  • Responsible for the daily funding/exception review of Retail Indirect Loans and DVLP leases as delegated by the Manager Operations.


  • With the exception of signing off the Accounting Support Package, which must be referred to either the DFC Head or Director Credit, deputizes on behalf of the Senior Manager Operations in their absence.


  • Monitors and adjusts the workflows of the accounting unit to ensure productivity standards, quality and customer service are at standards.


  • Assists with Human Resource Management functions for the DFC.


  • Identifying potential improvements to Operations and Accounting processes and providing recommendations to the Senior Manager Operations to obtain approval to implement these changes.

  • Must be able to quickly respond to customers needs in a highly competitive and often volatile marketplace.
  • Must be able to handle pressure to provide service to dealers, manufactures and adhere to Bank policy and guidelines.
  • Meets challenges of keeping a workforce challenged and motivated in a highly focused type of work which may at times appear monotonous and unrewarding, yet fast paced and high pressure demands for quick service.


In addition to French, the successful candidate must also have sufficient knowledge of English, as the work involves interacting and collaborating regularly with groups and individuals based in Toronto, as well as constantly interacting with other people, including clients, who speak English, locally and elsewhere
