Job Description:The Senior Superintendent is responsible for coordinating the work of all Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the jobsite for completion on time and on budget. This position enforces safety programs while managing and training personnel; understanding and controlling project budget. The Senior Superintendent works with trades foremen, superintendent and project management of all scopes of the project; owners and/or tenants.
Some things you can expect to do:- Coordinate subcontractors and Ryan Company employees.
- Manage select projects applicable to experience.
- Comprehend and administer project budgets.
- Read and administer contracts.
- Value engineer projects and details.
- Assist project team with material procurement process.
- Expedite and control all material purchases.
- Negotiate and purchase limited contracts.
- Do estimates for self-performed work (bids).
- Oversee project closeout.
Candidate Qualifications:- Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
- Management and Sales Training.
- Completed all qualifications and responsibilities of Superintendent.
- 2-5 years as a foreman in the trade.
- 1-2 years' experience in layout.
- 2-5 years as an Assistant Superintendent in the trade.
- 1-3 years as a Superintendent.
- Thorough knowledge of every aspect of building projects.
- Ability to understand shop drawings.
- Ability to read, comprehend prints and specifications to provide proper direction to project personnel.
