Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to provide design and analysis expertise for civil and structural engineering projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience with structural design codes, concrete and steel structures, and a strong understanding of technical specifications and material requirements.
Nuclear industry experience and professional certification are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Perform analysis and design of structures, including concrete, steel, and composite structures.
Prepare and review technical and building specifications, and design criteria for civil and structural engineering projects.
Develop and review engineering calculations and design reports.
Provide structural specifications for cranes and lifting devices, with familiarity in their designs.
Develop and review technical specifications for concrete materials and testing requirements.
Support aging management and FMEA according to Canadian standards requirements.
Work with the following codes (preferred): AISC N690, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ASCE 7, IBC, and Steel Construction Manual and Seismic Design Manual.
Requirement/Must Have:
Nuclear experience highly preferred.
Computer programming skills (e.g., MATLAB or Python) preferred.
