Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to provide design and analysis expertise for civil and structural engineering projects.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with structural design codes, concrete and steel structures, and a strong understanding of technical specifications and material requirements.
  • Nuclear industry experience and professional certification are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis and design of structures, including concrete, steel, and composite structures.
  • Prepare and review technical and building specifications, and design criteria for civil and structural engineering projects.
  • Develop and review engineering calculations and design reports.
  • Provide structural specifications for cranes and lifting devices, with familiarity in their designs.
  • Develop and review technical specifications for concrete materials and testing requirements.
  • Support aging management and FMEA according to Canadian standards requirements.
  • Work with the following codes (preferred): AISC N690, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ASCE 7, IBC, and Steel Construction Manual and Seismic Design Manual.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Nuclear experience highly preferred.
  • Computer programming skills (e.g., MATLAB or Python) preferred.
