Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Senior Strategy Consultant sits at the intersection of financial performance, corporate narrative, and executive strategy playing a pivotal role in how C5MI tells its growth story to investors, private equity sponsors, and prospective strategic acquirers. As C5MI navigates a critical inflection point, this role is responsible for translating complex operational and financial performance into a compelling, investor-ready narrative that supports the company's transaction strategy.

Beyond transaction readiness, the analyst serves as the internal engine for strategic alignment, owning the communications infrastructure and execution framework that keeps the organization operating in lockstep with leadership's vision. This is a role for someone who can zoom out to craft an equity story and zoom back in to run a weekly leadership rhythm without missing a beat.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Transaction Readiness & Investor Narrative
  • Leads the development and ongoing refinement of C5MI's investor narrative- including the investment thesis, equity story, and management presentation materials - designed to position the company for a PE-to-strategic or secondary transaction.
  • Builds and maintains the analytical backbone behind the story: revenue quality analysis, EBITDA bridge narratives, contract backlog and pipeline summaries, customer concentration assessments, and growth driver articulation.
  • Partners with the CEO, CFO, and outside advisors to prepare Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and Q&A preparation materials for formal sell-side processes.
  • Translates federal contract performance, GovCon market positioning, and SAP modernization capabilities into differentiated, investor-grade messaging.

Internal Strategy Communications
  • Owns the end-to-end internal communications framework - all-hands talking points, leadership newsletters, strategy update memos, and department briefings - that connects every employee to C5MI's strategic direction, company priorities, and performance metrics.
  • Maintains a communications calendar that ensures consistent strategic messaging across departments and eliminates information silos.
  • Partners with HR, Operations, and Delivery leads to cascade strategy from the executive level to individual contributors.
  • Designs and facilitates the full meeting rhythm - daily huddles, weekly team meetings, monthly management reviews, and quarterly/annual planning sessions.
  • Owns and maintains the One-Page Strategic Plan (OPSP), tracks progress against quarterly Rocks, manages the company-wide critical number dashboard, and coaches department heads on disciplined habit-based execution.

Thought Leadership & External Content
  • Provides strategic expertise on C5MI's positioning to integrate into white papers, executive briefings, press releases, and capability statements that reinforce C5MI's market leadership in federal SAP modernization and supply chain transformation.
  • Ensures external content is consistent with investor messaging and supports the company's transaction narrative.

Executive & Leadership Support
  • Acts as the C-Suite's right hand, preparing briefing materials, talking points, and presentation assets for investor updates, board meetings, partner forums, and client engagements.
  • Supports the senior leadership team in preparing for all-hands meetings, board presentations, and external appearances.
  • Adheres to all certified processes as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and information security, which includes actively participating in quality assurance activities and ensuring the protection of sensitive information in accordance with our security policies.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualifications and Motor/Sensory/Physical Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration (BBA), Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline required; MBA, MPA, or Master's in Finance strongly preferred.
  • 4-7 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, BCG, Oliver Wyman, L.E.K., or comparable strategy boutique) or equivalent experience in investment banking, corporate development, or private equity.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting transaction processes - including sell-side M&A, management presentations, Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) development, or investor due diligence preparation.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to construct, interpret, and narrate financial models, EBITDA bridge analyses, and revenue quality assessments for an investor audience.
  • Proven ability to translate complex operational and financial data into a clear, compelling business narrative for C-suite, board, and investor audiences.
  • Proven track record of influencing across executive, delivery, sales, and HR functions without direct authority.
  • Ability to travel for in-person meetings and events up to 20% as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active government clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).

Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in or adjacent to the government contracting (GovCon), federal IT, defense, or intelligence community services sectors.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP, federal IT modernization programs, or government contracting business models and contract vehicles (IDIQ, BPA, T&M, FFP).
  • Prior experience in a PE-backed or VC-backed professional services or technology firm, particularly in a scale-up or pre-transaction environment.
  • Direct experience implementing or facilitating Rockefeller Habits, Scaling Up, EOS, or OKR frameworks in a growth-stage company.
