What You'll Do Strategic Leadership & Analysis
- Develop and deliver strategic recommendations for executive leadership by synthesizing market trends, regulatory developments, and organizational priorities.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of organizational readiness, risk, and resilience, providing actionable insights for business transformation.
- Design and implement innovative solutions that bridge high-level strategic objectives with utility processes and regulatory frameworks.
Engagement & Project Leadership
- Lead and support strategic initiatives related to capital planning, process optimization, and business performance, helping organizations achieve measurable outcomes.
- Advise clients in the energy and utilities sector on business strategy and operational improvements, working closely with senior leadership to address complex organizational challenges.
- Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate findings and strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate high-stakes workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and executive-level discussions to guide decision-making and foster alignment across diverse teams.
- Build and maintain effective, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive business growth and deliver sustained value.
Team & Practice Development
- Mentor and guide junior consultants and project teams, sharing best practices and supporting professional growth.
- Support business development and thought leadership by contributing to client proposals, industry publications, and internal offering development initiatives.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Prior experience in management consulting or industry roles focused on energy and utilities.
- Proven experience in business strategy, capital planning, and operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to perform quantitative problem solving and financial modeling.
- Experience leading cross-functional workshops, stakeholder interviews, and strategy sessions with executive-level participants.
- Familiarity with operations and planning functions within energy and utilities.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, accounting, or related degree and 7 years of relevant experience required.
- Prior experience associated with critical infrastructure operations and planning or consulting.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead, educate, and train a team of consultants and analyst in management consulting frameworks.
- Ability to independently solve difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines and to be effective in on-site work environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including identification of critical path items to ensure deliverable deadlines are met.
- Ability to focus on the big picture to effectively and efficiently provide services that meet client needs, while also having the ability to identify and analyze details that are critical to project outcomes.
- Willingness to learn new service offerings as client needs and the market requires changes to the service offerings provided by our group.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
