Job Description:
Senior Strategist
As a Senior Strategist, you'll play a leading role in shaping how some of the largest, most influential, most exciting companies in the world understand themselves and shape their industries. You'll lead teams of strategists, designers, and writers to shape everything from corporate visions to user interfaces. You'll perform research and develop thought leadership to become a powerful voice on radically relevant topics, from artificial intelligence to corporate ethics. You'll be part of a team of equally curious, thoughtful, passionate people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, who care as much about each other as the work they do
Primary Responsibilities
Develop unique, brand-based strategies to solve compelling challenges
Build relationships and expertise with long-term anchor clients, while experimenting with a variety of short-term projects
Own and manage projects from start to finish, from research through content development, delivery, and implementation
Build relationships with clients, and get to know their businesses well enough that you can tell them what they should care about
Become an expert on cultural trends, business disruptions, and technological innovations that shape industry and society
Craft compelling strategies and related deliverables driven in equal parts by rigorous research and your own expert point of view
Collaborate with internal and client teams to anticipate client needs and find creative ways to address them, shaping the nature and outputs of your projects
Develop pitches and proposals to expand the scale and scope of our business
Build business cases for making and managing change
Qualifications
Education & Experience
B. A. degree or +
5+ years' experience in brand, marketing, business strategy, innovation, consulting, or research and analytics
Skills & Competencies
Deeply curious about the workings of culture and business
Demonstrated experience in developing brand, business, or communications strategies
Understands how branding and customer experiences can drive business outcomes; Solid understanding of business metrics and processes
Adept manager, able to skillfully manage multiple phases of complex projects
Talented storyteller, able to present both abstract and concrete work, and be a compelling partner for clients
Possess strategic/analytical and creative/design thinking
Able to inspire teammates and help foster a collaborative culture
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
