Job Summary

This market lead position is responsible for leading cross-functional teams in identifying product opportunities in new and complex emerging markets and supporting the development, execution, and ongoing management of Medicare Advantage product strategies. Leads the development process from inception to product launch for new products, spearheading market expansion initiatives and supporting the launch of new Medicare products. Works to ensure that new products are clearly defined and that HCSC leadership has the necessary information (e.g., proformas, financial analysis, competitive intelligence, market assessments, and internal capabilities assessments) to make informed go/no-go decisions and strategic investments. This role drives differentiated product design by integrating member engagement insights, clinical data, and competitive intelligence; collaborates with market, finance, actuarial, digital experience, and other cross-functional partners to develop multi-year product roadmaps and performance benchmarks; serves as a product lead on digital transformation initiatives; supports health equity strategies; cultivates key vendor relationships

Required Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Business or Health Administration and 6 years experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting environment OR 11 years experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting
  • Experience leading and mentoring other staff.
  • Experience in managed care product development, benefits consulting or project management.
  • Experience working with corporate leadership, interfacing and communicating at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing multiple complex priorities and a heavy workload.
  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Experience developing and presenting to internal and external clients
  • Health insurance or healthcare industry experience
  • Previous responsibility for the management of a product or product line, including development of products from inception to launch, and product introduction and monitoring for success or need for reengineering.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing stakeholder relationships, including influencing decision-making, aligning priorities, and driving execution across multiple teams and organizational levels.
  • 3+ years experience in Medicare Advantage Bid with an understanding of MA economics and bid requirements
  • Proven analytical and strategic abilities in decision making and problem solving
  • Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage Star Ratings and quality programs, including the relationship between Stars performance, member outcomes, regulatory requirements, quality bonus payments, and product growth strategies.
  • Excel experience necessary.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range
$102,000.00 - $184,300.00
