Full Job Description
The Senior Strategic Account Program Manager creates long-term value and is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, while supporting current prototype and production programs. This manager will understand how to develop markets primarily for non-traditional defense subcontractors for supply of commercial products to Prime Contractors. This role focuses on expanding strategic customer relationships, supporting proposal development, capturing new design wins, and driving revenue growth across the account. Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders within a Prime Account to foster trust and long-term collaboration. • Manage customer engagement from opportunity identification, through contract award, and production. • Support Business Unit (BU) proposal development, product pricing, quoting and order placement. Lead negotiations for strategic partnerships, contracts, and business agreements, ensuring favorable terms and sustained revenue growth. • Identify potential programs, analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to uncover growth opportunities. Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities. • Develop and implement business forecast, growth plans, and revenue expansion initiatives. Coordinate with BU Management, Account Management (Sales), Engineering, Legal, and Executive leadership on strategy, program penetration, and financial goals to achieve annual revenue targets. • Utilize technical, business, marketing, and collaborative skills while interfacing with both internal and external customers on exciting new programs, process and technology developments, and the delivery of proto and production products. • Lead, manage, and support business proposals, SOW, Contract Negotiation, and Pricing for R&D to Production requests (i.e., Financial Acumen). • Ensure timely Customer support addressing inquiries on: Business Development, New Proposals, R&D Programs, Prototype and Production Programs. • Lead and participate in all Program specific reviews. Communicate project status to the business unit, program team, and customer. • Defines, communicates, and closes the gap between customer expectations and actual schedule. • Develop, Analyze, and Maintain pricing consistent with commercial business practices, while supporting Monthly/Quarterly/Annual business reviews. • Broad knowledge of the business in areas such as: technology, MMICs, devices, packaging, design needs, etc. • Demonstrate ability to quickly respond to customer questions/inquiries. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing. • 12+ years experience or an equivalent amount of an advanced degree and experience working in Project, Program, or Technical Management with at least 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor or defense and aerospace industry • Understanding of DoD acquisition process with experience in T/Cs & FAR/DFARS regulations. • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with drive to take ownership of program and project requirements and deliverables. • Proven ability to influence and drive internal suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams without formal authority. Lead cross function team of project management and engineering, while working with finance, legal, sales, and operations. • Sound decision-making skills in addressing issues/obstacles to project completion. • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to travel up to approximately 20% of the time.
