About the Role
This is a full-time, in-person role at our El Segundo pilot facility. As you will be working at an early-stage deep tech startup, this role will span many different tasks. You will need to be a self-starter and be adaptable to performing many different jobs. Along with these high expectations comes the opportunity to significantly influence the product development, strategy, and trajectory of a fast-growing startup company. Your work will tangibly impact our company and the composites industry, and you will be able to make rapid professional gains in an environment that encourages growth and innovation.
Hybron is making a deliberate decision to invest in quality up front. As such, this role involves building the foundation of Hybron's quality function by leading the effort to establish a quality management system and becoming AS9100 and ISO9001 certified. You will be responsible for ensuring that every part that leaves Hybron meets high quality standards as part of a lean, rigorous, and effective quality program.

Core Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a Quality Management System
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve ISO9001/ AS9100 certifications or experience owning significant portions of these programs such that full ownership is a reasonable expectation
  • Experience with NDT for advanced materials, including CT, UT, tap testing, etc.
  • Non-conformance and MRB experience, including analyzing composite defects (delamination, porosity, fiber/resin richness) and driving corrective action
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science field (Composites, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Polymer Science, etc.)
  • Willingness to be hands-on, including with part-level testing and inspection
  • Must be a US Person pursuant to the EAR and the ITAR definitions and able to work in-person at our facility in El Segundo
Also Important
  • Experience working with fiber-reinforced polymer composites materials and manufacturing
  • Supplier quality experience: qualifying suppliers and enforcing quality flowdowns (both to and from Hybron)
  • Experience with relevant QMS software and adjacent production tools (MES, ERP, etc...)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a drive to deliver on ambitious schedules, even and especially if unconventional & creative solutions are necessary to do so
Nice to Have
  • Experience operating relevant equipment such as metrology instruments, including laser scanners, CMMs, DSC, TGA, etc...
  • Experience with composite molding technologies such as compression or injection molding
  • Six Sigma and/ or Lean certification
  • Experience with taking products from zero to one at a small company

Compensation and Schedule
  • $130,000 - $190,000 per year
