Job Description

The SeniorStaff Engineer performs geotechnical work around the process of acquiring, analyzing, engineering, and interpreting complete and high-quality geotechnical data to provide accurate and customized services to clients. This individual will provide geotechnical advice in one or a small number of specialized technical disciplines and develop solutions for clients by putting acquired geotechnical data into context.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

• Assist in the completion of projects and other operational tasks.

• Logging of soil borings and test pits.

• Coordinate soil exploration programs.

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of projects.

• Coordinate the execution of small projects or part of a project of moderate complexity.

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and proposals.

• Assist in the preparation of engineering reports.

• Use prescribed methods to perform engineering analysis.

• Execute work duties in an organized and efficient manner.

• Maintain close relationships with clients throughout the project and beyond.

Job Requirements:

• Legally Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.

• Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university is required, a Ph.D. is preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering, including experience with acquiring, interpreting, and analyzing geodata and performing engineering calculations.

• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas is preferred.

• Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Present information and ideas and respond to questions clearly and concisely.

• Understand advanced technical requirements and current data acquisition procedures.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Advanced knowledge of computer operations, including Microsoft Office and other engineering programs.

• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.

• Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport, possible international travel/assignments may be required.

• Travel is required up to 25% for this job opportunity.
