This role will be located out of our Propulsion Systems facility located in Canoga Park, CA. In this role, you will support the RS-25 rocket engine program and perform RS-25 component structural analysis in support of flight, test and fabrication.
Essential Functions:- Provide structural design guidance, scope analysis efforts and perform detailed structural analyses for RS-25 component NCRs. Provide assessment of the product's ability to satisfy internal structural requirements as well as those flowed by the customer.
- Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews. Prepare detailed technical reports documenting all analysis activities, present results at program reviews, and prepare technical documentation.
- Apply technical expertise to directly contribute to the performance of the team relative to dispositioning NCRs
- Complete assigned responsibilities in a manner that has significant impact on programs improving overall performance and capabilities
- Ability to obtain a US LEVEL security clearance
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Mechanical, Structures, or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:- High proficiency in utilization of ANSYS Finite Element Analysis software
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $102,000 - $189,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
