Our team specializes in developing robust, scalable solutions that integrate advanced communications technologies across multiple mission-critical platforms. This is an opportunity to tackle deep technical challenges and define the core software architecture supporting major defense and intelligence operations.
Essential Functions: - Knowledge and experience of embedded real-time software development (VxWorks/Linux)
- Work closely with cross-functional team members to develop operational performance requirements, interface software and hardware components, and collaborate on system design
- Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing
- Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution
- Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects
- Utilize a variety of software languages on Windows, Linux and embedded real time operating systems
- Occasional customer support travel (5%)
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills: - Demonstrated expertise with high-performance, multi-threaded programming concepts
- Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, compilers, and application execution techniques across various platforms.
- Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technical domains outside the core discipline
- Advanced proficiency in C++ and demonstrable knowledge of modern object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets utilizing an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System).
- Advanced knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, or networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, SNMP, etc.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Solid presentation and writing skills
- Previous professional experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
