We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, POM Product Owner to join our AI Hub team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA.

The role combines product ownership, solution delivery, stakeholder management, and AI domain knowledge to ensure AI-enabled solutions progress efficiently from concept through production adoption. Focus areas may include Digital Employees, Instruction Capture, Instruction Repair, workflow automation, enterprise copilots, model evaluation frameworks, and AI-enabled operational transformation initiatives.

This position provides an opportunity to work at the center of AI innovation within BNY while developing expertise in AI product delivery, enterprise-scale implementation, responsible AI practices, and operational transformation.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Own and actively manage portions of AI Hub product backlogs, ensuring alignment to business priorities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Translate business and operational challenges into well-defined product requirements, user stories, and scalable workflows.
  • Partner with Product Managers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Operations teams to support requirements gathering, testing, and release planning.
  • Contribute to the delivery of AI-enabled solutions from early-stage experimentation through pilot and production rollout.
  • Support the development and implementation of Generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation solutions across business areas.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand solution capabilities, data needs, and evaluation approaches; assist in testing and validation activities.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key success metrics, including productivity gains, operational improvements, and user adoption.
  • Serve as a proactive liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders; help lead workshops, demos, and adoption efforts.
  • Develop clear, executive-ready materials including status updates, presentations, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, risk, and responsible AI standards; contribute to documentation, approvals, and continuous improvement of AI Hub practices.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline.
  • 0-1 years product experience, 1-3 years in financial services.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments including backlog management, sprint planning, user stories, and prioritization frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to decompose complex business problems into actionable requirements.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Intelligent Automation, Data Products, or Digital Employee initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI product lifecycles, model evaluation concepts, workflow orchestration, or automation technologies.
  • Understanding of AI governance, model risk management, privacy, security, or compliance frameworks.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
