Role description

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

Serve as a cross pod/platform specialist, flexing across initiatives based on complexity, regulatory risk, or end to end workflow impact.

Ensure consistent business rules, process definitions, data meaning, and control interpretations across pods and delivery teams.

Act as an escalation point when pod level analysis is insufficient due to regulatory, operational, or architectural complexity.

Create and maintain reusable domain assets (process libraries, decision catalogs, data definitions, control/evidence patterns) to reduce onboarding time and knowledge silos.

Partner with Product Operations (where present) or perform product ops like activities to support operating model design, launch readiness, and BAU sustainability.

Lead complex discovery, option analysis, and future state design for initiatives that span multiple pods, systems, or platforms (e.g., regulatory change, platform migrations, cross product workflows).

Perform cross pod/platform impact analysis; identify dependencies, sequencing, and risks; drive alignment on business rules and end to end process designs.

Define or refine operating models, roles & responsibilities (RACI), controls, and support processes required for adoption, launch, and BAU sustainability.

Interpret regulatory and policy requirements; translate into implementable controls, acceptance criteria, and evidence expectations for delivery teams.

Establish and govern standards for business analysis practices and artifacts (definitions of ready/done, modeling conventions, traceability).

Mentor and coach junior BAs on analysis methods, domain knowledge, and documentation quality; review high risk epics for requirement integrity.

Expertise

Deep subject matter expertise across systems, processes, and regulatory domains

Strong end-to-end understanding of complex workflows spanning multiple pods or platforms

Advanced business and systems analysis (value streams, target operating models, control design, non functional requirements, data mapping).

Fluency in agile at scale and multi team coordination

Strong understanding of audit, risk, and compliance expectations in regulated environments; able to translate policy into implementable requirements.

Recognized domain or regulatory specialist who can be flexed across pods as needed.

Experience level may align to VP/SVP individual contributor profiles; formal people management is not required.

Individual skills

Executive level facilitation and stakeholder alignment; can frame options and trade offs for PMs and platform leadership.

Analytical storytelling that produces decision driving artifacts, including narratives, visuals, and models, that stand up to audit and senior review.

Mentors and coaches junior BAs by elevating best practices across pods without formal line management.

Demonstrates systems thinking by anticipating upstream and downstream impacts, scalability, and operational resiliency.
