You will mentor Sourcing Managers, own regional savings initiatives, and serve as the bridge between Proposal Development and operational Planning - connecting commercial strategy to field execution with precision and speed.

What You Will OwnStrategic Procurement & Regional Spend Management- Lead regional spend management and drive companywide cost savings goals with measurable accountability
- Develop and own regional savings initiatives from identification through execution
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert and Regional Trainer for GSI's standardized procurement processes and platforms
Proposal & Planning Support- Secure, analyze, and validate supplier quotations for materials, subcontracts, logistics, and rental equipment
- Support proposal development with accurate, competitive cost inputs that improve win rates and protect margin
Operational Execution- Build project budgets and calculate material take-offs with precision
- Negotiate price and commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors - driving best value, not just lowest cost
- Select suppliers, issue Purchase Orders, and coordinate seamlessly with Project Managers, Superintendents, Operations Managers, Regional Directors, Warehouse, and Equipment Teams
- Reduce downtime, optimize logistics, and coordinate equipment movement across regions
- Actively manage the equipment rental process to minimize cost exposure
- Maintain preferred supplier relationships and proactively manage commodities to improve service and reduce project drag
- Ensure full compliance with DBE requirements and mill certifications
- Resolve accounting discrepancies with speed and ownership
Team Leadership- Provide guidance and mentorship to Sourcing Managers; model best-in-class procurement behavior and strategic judgment
- Elevate team performance through structured coaching and accountability
What You BringRequired- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a directly related field from an accredited four-year institution
- 5+ years of experience in a procurement support or sourcing function - ideally in a project-based, field operations, construction, or infrastructure environment
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms and achieve quantifiable cost savings
- Familiarity with Lean Principles, Max/Min Inventory, Supplier Scheduling, and Planning concepts
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills - you know how to influence without authority
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, financial modeling, cost analysis)
- Proven ability to operate with urgency and precision in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Preferred- Experience with Viewpoint or comparable ERP/procurement platforms
- Background in geotechnical, construction, infrastructure, or heavy civil sectors
- Track record of building and institutionalizing procurement processes, not just following them
