  • Manage contracting processes in collaboration with Legal to ensure proper business terms and IP protection.
  • Develop multi-sourcing strategies to minimize risk and encourage competition.
  • Analyze the supply chain to identify risks and resolve issues affecting quality and delivery.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership on initiatives with stakeholders to align with Microsoft Devices objectives.
  • Lead supplier relations, driving performance improvements across all business areas.

Full Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Own the supply chain and sourcing activities for Microsoft Devices Chipset including negotiating commercial agreements, negotiating cost, optimizing the collaboration between the teams and developing long term strategy to grow a robust partnership.
  • Engage with cross-functional leadership including architecture, engineering, product management, and business teams to determine best design solution and supply base to deliver that solution at optimal supply chain and cost.
  • Manage contracting activities with Legal and ensure contracts reflect appropriate business terms, IP protection, etc.
  • Cost and operations management: Build multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and drive appropriate competition.
  • Analyze the overall supply chain to identify risk and drive resolution to systemic issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-times.
  • Provide thought leadership and manage strategic initiatives with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support Microsoft Devices objectives and strategies.
  • Manages the supplier relationship, leading and coordinating efforts to drive supplier performance improvement across all areas of the business.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related role.
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years industry experience in consumer electronics inthe semiconductor and silicon space.
  • Experience in Chipset or Wireless sourcing or sales.
  • Experience in negotiating complex contracts and deals.
  • Proficient storytelling and influencing skills with a track record of developing and nurturing key stakeholder relationships.

Sourcing Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
